Clinical Trial Support Coordinator

Hours: 35 hours per week Location: Amersham, hybrid working

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Clinical Trial Support Coordinator to facilitate the coordination of travel logistics and reimbursement of expenses for patients with complex needs, travelling to participate in clinical trials across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australasia.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a purpose-driven team, supporting individuals and directly contributing to improving patients’ lives. You will provide dedicated support to patients and their carers, helping to ensure they receive the assistance they need throughout their journey.

There may be the opportunity to travel in the UK and globally to clinical trial sites to complete site visits. The purpose is to meet with the clinical trial team(s) and assess local accommodation.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide in depth logistical support to patients and / or their carers to enable them to access clinical trials globally

• Work with patients, their carers, clinical trial sites and RDRP finance team to promptly reimburse study related expenses

• Manage telephone enquiries as appropriate

• Understand the complex needs of patients attending the clinical trials, and where required, act as a liaison between patients and clients when dealing with requests and queries

• Participate in training about MPS and other ultra-rare diseases relevant to the clinical trials that RDRP is supporting

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinical trial sites, clients, patients and service providers globally

• Provide guidance and support to clients during the clinical trial set up period, including helping with the submission of essential documents

• Take responsibility for the out of hours phone on a rota basis to manage out of hours emergencies across different time zone

• Always work within strict confidentiality guidelines

Further Information

This role is full-time and based in our Amersham office with a hybrid working arrangement of a minimum of 2 days each week in the office. We are currently working Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office and the remaining three days working from home however flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
